We will be meeting in the bar area of The Salthouse for our usual relaxed\, low-pressure evening of tabletop gaming. \nEntry is completely free and beginners are always welcome. You do not need to know the rules to any of the games before you arrive\, as we will happily teach you how to play. DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, 14 March\, we are bringing Don’t Be Prey to the historic Curzon for a matinee screening and a live conversation with coach Tim Denyer and swimmer Mark Sowerby \nFor the community at Clevedon Marine Lake\, the reality of marathon swimming isn’t found in the highlight reel\, it’s found in the repetitive\, often grueling months of preparation. \nThis Q&A focuses on the decade of training that supported Mark Sowerby’s Oceans Seven journey. We will move past the crossings themselves to discuss the invisible work: the technical drills\, the cold-adaptation protocols\, and the psychological discipline required to maintain a peak level of readiness for nine+ years. \nTim and Mark will discuss the mechanics of their partnership and how they built a training methodology that accounted for the physiological reality of the ocean.
