We will move past the crossings themselves to discuss the invisible work: the technical drills\, the cold-adaptation protocols\, and the psychological discipline required to maintain a peak level of readiness for nine+ years. \nTim and Mark will discuss the mechanics of their partnership and how they built a training methodology that accounted for the physiological reality of the ocean. DESCRIPTION:Join us for the March edition of the Clevedon Board Game Social on Thursday 12th March from 7.30 PM. We will be meeting in the bar area of The Salthouse for our usual relaxed\, low-pressure evening of tabletop gaming. \nEntry is completely free and beginners are always welcome. You do not need to know the rules to any of the games before you arrive\, as we will happily teach you how to play. Whether you are coming with a group of friends or pitching up solo\, there is always an open seat at a table waiting for you. \nThis month we are featuring some great games including Skyrise\, Heat\, Worms\, and Akropolis. We will also have our usual large stack of accessible games to choose from\, so there is something to suit all tastes and experience levels. \nThe Salthouse is dog-friendly in our playing area\, and you are more than welcome to grab food or a pint from the bar to enjoy while we play. If you have any questions or if it is your first time attending\, just drop a comment below or send a message. We look forward to seeing you there.

Riverhaven Artland Sculpture Park\, Clevedon are hosting a Classic Car & Bike Show.  https://riverhavenartland.com/  Dent Devils will be sponsoring and located at sculpture No. 26 – “What’s the Time Mr Wolf?”  Exhibitors on site approx. 8.30\, with public entry from 10am and ending at 4.30pm – bring along any classic car or bike you have hidden away.   \nThe event is aimed at raising funds for The Kawakawa Bay-Ōrere Health Clinic – a community-based health service (Medical Centre) and has been in operation for approx. 42 years. It is managed by a dedicated team of volunteers and staffed by part-time registered nurses and part-time administrators. \nIt is supported financially by donations and memberships from the communities it serves\, Health NZ\, and Awanui Labs.
