SUMMARY:Drift into Stillness Gong/Sound Immersion
DESCRIPTION:Gift yourself the opportunity to experience the beautiful sound of the gongs\, crystal and Tibetan bowls\, drum\, chimes and a variety of other instruments. All you need to do is lay down and let the healing sounds wash over you. The sound and vibration will aid your body to relax and your mind to quieten as your brainwaves ease down into a meditative alpha/theta state – the optimal state for healing and transformation.\nSome of the many benefits you may experience from the immersion are; balancing the autonomic nervous system to lower stress and anxiety levels\, improved sleep\, an increase in focus and clarity and a decrease in tension and fatigue and also pain relief.\nPlease bring a yoga mat (I have plenty to borrow if you don’t have your own). You will also need a blanket/throw\, pillow or cushion\, water to rehydrate and anything else you need to feel comfortable. We are honoured to have him discussing the subject of the film; the heated discussion of decolonising our museums and the call to give Greece back The Parthenon Marbles. \nThis thoughtful documentary\, filmed over five years starting on the 200th anniversary of Greek independence\, reveals the complexities of museum ethics\, cultural policy\, and the competing claims surrounding ancient artefacts. From Athens to London\, it’s a tale of empire\, resistance\, and redemption—with Scotland emerging as an unlikely hero. \nThe debate continues to evolve\, raising fundamental questions about the rightful ownership of ancient treasures.
